With the addition of Dr. John Agostinelli, PLS Launch Solutions increases its capabilities in patent writing and intellectual property portfolio management. John's technical expertise also enriches our ability to provide marketing services to the Optics and Advanced Manufacturing industries.
John Agostinelli earned his PhD in Optics from the University of Rochester, and served as a Research Fellow for Eastman Kodak Company before consulting. Agostinelli brings added depth to PLS' work in securing and marketing intellectual property. He will also support the PLS team in creating and executing marketing strategy for optics, imaging, nanotech and materials science companies.

PLS Inc., a nine-person agency in the Corn Hill neighborhood, recently completed its first order with a Washington D.C.-based software company.
PLP Digital Systems Inc. provides construction information management software. In partnership last year with that firm, PLS launched technology focused on small businesses in the construction industry.

The PLS team will welcome representatives from the City of Rochester, Monroe County, customers and friends on Thursday, May 26 on the Genesee River at Corn Hill Landing. Though the company has changed since it was founded in 1986 by Roger Hopkins and Sheila Hosenfeld, since inception it has helped companies launch new technologies and educate customers.
PLS has assisted in client expansion, acquisition and entry into new markets, resulting in a total of 500 patents over the years and more than 40 jobs this year for their customers.
2011 brings additional growth for PLS and, more importantly, its customers, with a continuingly narrow focus on marketing strategy and execution for optics and technology companies.
